Term 2 2013 Postage Stamps Project.

Aim of Project: Postage Stamps. To explore the natural resources in our area through observational painting and prints. To research New Zealand stamps and design our own stamps . To experience the transformation of clay and glazes when heated by making ceramic plates in the style of postage stamps.          Maitai@ Henley and Room 4 explored the taste, textures, colours, shapes and fragrances of a variety of seasonal fruits for their stamp designs. They did observationals drawings and water colour paintings of their chosen fruit. Victory and Rooms 2 and 3 explored seasonal herbs to use for their stamp designs. They made rubbings and hapa zome prints of their herbs filling the classrooms with a potpourri of fragrances.
