At Maitai school, we are doing an Enterprise Business Scheme this year ending with an exhibition of ceramic tableware embellished with moulds, prints and fragments of text around the subject of microbes and mini-beasts. Our scheme is centered around the theme of establishing the Bokashi composting system throughout our school, and at the satellite classes in Victory School and Maitai at Henley-Waimea.

Microbes, mini-beasts and Dirt: Making our ceramics.
We have been making ceramics inspired by our research on the processes of microbes and mini-beasts in transforming our food waste into soil using the Bokashi Composting System.
